從前出海行船的林冬已經退休，家人也不在了。一個人的生活，就像個異鄉人一樣。一天，從北京來港讀電影的鄭洋分租了林冬家的一間房。自此，林冬家裡住了另一個異鄉人，他在位年輕的北京男孩身上找到了一些屬於家人的情感，還有淡薄卻真摯的友誼。本片在香港與中國的價值觀衝突之外，找到了人與人之間單純但永恆的情誼。

Dong lives alone in Sai Wan. He used to be a sailor, who scarcely return to his family in Hong Kong. One day, a student from Beijing came by and subleased one of Dong’s room. Since then, Dong shares a new stage of life with another outsider.
