Regarded as a loser in life, Nan is infatuated with the animation series, Bobita, and lives with his mother and grandpa. One day, Nan meets a girl in the Bobita fan club and has gone out with her for a few times. What the girl wants most is the one and only super expensive Bobita doll, Nan uses the money to bid for the doll. However, he could never expect both the girl and his grandfather end up leaving him. So he picks up the knife.

CHUANG Ching Shen

Chuang Ching-shen obtained in an MA in Directing from the Taipei National University of the Arts. His first short film, The Eighteenth Birthday Party, was selected for the Edinburgh International Film Festival, and followed by several Golden Bell Awardwinning television films. His first feature, Hight Flash, was awarded the CNC Cash Prize at the 2013 Golden Horse Project Promotion.

WANG Li Wen

Wang Li-Wen works as a scriptwriter in film and television. In 2009, the script she wrote for 30 Seconds After was nominated Best Script in Mini Drama Series at the Golden Bell Awards. In 2011, Jump Ashin! she co-wrote with Lin Yu-Hsien and Wang Kuo-Guang won the GIO Excellent Screenplay Awards and was nominated Best Original Screenplay at the Golden Horse.

動漫次文化對於台灣媒體一直都是見獵剝削的對象,本片卻試圖讓一樁本是刻板的社會事件還原出真實人事物,探究這背後的人心慾望、認同渴望及家庭關係等等的省思。

莊景燊導演:
第一次看大螢幕還滿殘忍的,自己拍時沒什麼感覺。看完卻心情沉重。
這部作品最想說的是人與的人的關係,愛與血緣無關。常常住在一起的人,其嫌隙可能比不常在一起的人更加巨大。
關於角色們的形塑會不會變樣板,會不會被貼標籤。我們當初拍攝時就很小心,但我想講的是人跟人的距離是不是越靠近就越愛?辯證後,我想討論的是關於私心,為了達成自己的私利去盡己所能拿到這件事情。我覺得動漫其實無罪的,不是喜歡動漫就有錯,那是兩回事。
阿南終究沒有變強大,因為他還是一般的正常人,只是因為他在家庭受到的對待。當他哥還在的時候,他還有夥伴,但他哥不在的時候,他還是喜歡買西都買兩個,好像他的夥伴一直都在。他的價值觀是對夥伴很盡責,很忠心。最後,在他家裡的夥伴是阿公,維護夥伴、為夥伴報仇、去反擊的想法,讓他對小叔產收殺機。他知道是因為小舅回來,成為這些紛爭的起點。
強大的我或許有點諷刺吧,有些人覺得活在自己的世界很厲害,但從外界客觀上來看也沒什麼厲害。

王莉雯導演:
我一直在思考同一個屋簷下,人來人去,大家卻是那麼疏遠。我想呈現的是一個支離破雖的家庭中的狀況,並沒有什麼大道理,那是真實呈現的家庭的狀況。
還有我之前看到一個新聞,一個喜歡收集皮卡丘的男子。他很喜歡將皮卡丘的物件穿在身上,攜帶很多皮卡丘,這個行為卻為他惹來很多麻煩,甚至官司纏身。
因為這個新聞也是發想元素之一,我原本想用皮卡丘來當作劇中的動畫角色。想要跟皮卡丘談版權,但由於劇本調性,就沒有談成。
後來就自己去重塑一個角色出來。我想塑造出某日本知名卡通的感覺。在看過這部片後。是真有觀眾以為波比達是真實存在。
波比達以皮卡丘為原型,我們去觀察了很多日本的動漫。不只是皮卡丘這個卡通,陪伴我們長大的日本卡通中,多有夥伴與熱血與情意。我們以此去創作了波比達宇宙。
