Kiss is a universal language for love. Yet, kissing is forbidden under certain circumstances and culture. Growing up in a traditional Asian community in Hong Kong, we always wonder why we can't kiss at school, why couples have to hide from teachers and parents, why LGBTQ topics can't be discussed openly. We always feel that our desires are suppressed and even become self-deprived.Love should be free. Yet freedom is something one must actively fight for. Through "The Red Kiss", we hope to transport audiences back to the age of innocence, where love was fearless and worth any risk. Moreover, to rekindle that spirit of courage, reminding us all of the importance of embracing love and the relentless pursuit of freedom.
