本片清楚記錄在台灣幾個重空污災區（台中、彰化縣大城鄉台西村、高雄市大林蒲）的人們之處境，以及在能源轉型過程中，因政策倉促而被迫犧牲的農漁民之心聲與記錄。試圖提問，到底能源轉型的真義為何？在全球都經歷嚴峻的溫室效應，氣候災難的衝擊下，我們及下一代的未來將何去何從？
This film documents the lives of people in some of Taiwan’s areas worst affected by air pollution—Taichung, Taixi Village in Dacheng Township, Changhua County, and Dalinpu in Kaohsiung. It also gives voice to farmers and fishers forced to bear the costs of hastily implemented policies in the transition to cleaner energy. The film asks: What does energy transition truly mean? As the world confronts intensifying global warming and climate disasters, what future awaits us and the generations to come?

As a human being, I feel a profound sense of guilt. Our generation’s greed-driven development has inflicted irreversible damage on the Earth, pushing countless species—and you, the generations to come—to the brink of destruction. I wonder what the world will look like at the end of this century. Will you be safe and well?
I hope to do all I can to document the conditions we face and the choices we make in this troubled, defiled world, leaving a record for you in the future—a testament to learn from, and a warning to heed.
