Zi-En WU

WU Zi-En (born in 1990 in Taiwan) majored in the department of filmmaking at Taipei National University of the Arts. And participated in the Golden Horse Film Academy in 2012. His short film, Hsiang Yi was selected for the Vancouver International Film Festival. In recent years, WU Zi-En has focused on the threat of regional politics and totalitarian rule. He wants to reflect the situation and victimization of the people under totalitarianism through his works.

Buying Tickets

Based on the historical facts of the Kuomintang’s White Terror period in Taiwan, I wrote my imagination for the future, that we never want it to become a reality. We are following the steps of the predecessors. Even if those in power deliberately forget the stories, the people on the island still remember them, and we believe that history will never repeat itself on this land.
