2022年7月1日，香港迎來主權移交25週年，同日熱帶風暴暹芭襲港。本片以颱風的發展推進時間，將時間點壓縮在一天，捕捉了當天香港的各種場景和市民日常，呈現出七一「回歸日」的眾生相。
On July 1st, 2022, as Hong Kong marks the 25th anniversary of its transfer of sovereignty to Mainland China, Tropical Storm Chaba lashes the city. This film captures the diverse populace as they navigate the day amidst both historical significance and natural upheaval. The film uses the typhoon as a timeline, compressing the events into a single day to portray the different facets of life.

紀錄片構想以眾生相的方式紀錄香港這座城市，體裁貼近描寫文。香港是影片的主角，雖然城市是死物，但當中的人和事賦予了她生命，那香港現在會有著怎樣的生命？作品紀錄國安法時代的香港現狀，七一慶祝歌聲響亮如虹，然而無情的颱風彷彿呼應著香港的命運。
This documentary aims to document the city of Hong Kong through “the portrait of people” approach, with a style akin to a descriptive essay. Hong Kong is the main character of the film. Although the city itself is inanimate, the people and events within bring life to it… So what do we see in Hong Kong now? The film captures the current state of Hong Kong under the National Security Law. The celebratory songs ring out loudly, yet the merciless typhoon seems to mirror the city’s fate.
