Thousand years. Any origins will be lost in such a long period of time. But all will be reproduced in fables. The boy dreamed of the world ten thousand years later. He wrote it down and turned it into a story. This is his dream, his creation. The character he made seemed to be himself. This is a metaphor, in which he can barely clarify who he is.

“To Hong Kong people, Tuen Mun is like a mysterious and distant village ten thousand years ago. People always joke that Tuen Mun people are skilled in cow-raising; yet ten thousand years later, the last person here strolls in the grass place among the city ruins.” What can cross over ten thousand years? Perhaps it’s humans’ hearts of chasing things. Before I created this story, I always talked about those interesting things passionately to my friends whenever I mentioned my hometown to them. My friend who kept listening to my trivial hometown stories became the scriptwriter of this work. She(He?) combined the elements like “Tuen Mun” and “the limit of ten thousand years” into this story, echoing the struggling status that a creator may face. And I, as a director, focus on the presentation of the scenes. Having thought of not working as an animator after graduation, I hope I can jump out of my comfort zone to finish this work.
