Living in Kaohsiung for 13 years, on my way to work every day, I observed that the landscape and the city were gradually changing. The natural realm was rapidly shrinking, the oppressive concrete jungle continued to expand, and the relationship between man and nature was separated. As a human being here, even though I am settled in the city, seeing these changes, why do I feel so lost and have nowhere to put myself? All this became my inspiration for "the Egret River".
