A film student buries herself in cinema to avoid her miserable family, and imagines her family members as characters in a film that she writes and directs. In her film, her father turns into a cactus and her mother no longer has to live in the illusion of having a perfect family. Her seemingly ridiculous imagination is her only escape from her mundane life, until the bubble of fantasy pops.
Director
Si Hui KUANG
Chinese director and screenwriter. Si Hui KUANG, born in Hunan and raised in Guangdong, was graduated from the Department of Radio, Television and Film in Shih Hsin University and is now working on her master’s degree in film studies at University College London. After participating in the production of several short films and TV commercials, she wrote and directed A Pointless Film as her final year project.
