The temple and the market coexist in a particular place with the harmony of sacred religion and daily life, the story which the place takes the major role, plots with sound, shadows and talks about how people and cats live here together for one day.

Director

LIU Kuan Wen

I am an animator and director based in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. I started to work in an animation studio while graduating from college. After two years working, I found I needed more knowledge and training, I went back to school and now studying animation in TNNUA of Taiwan. The first work "About Time" , had been selected by Holland Animation Film Festival and Tricky Women in 2017.

白晝是看不見的聲響，黑夜是聽不明的廣闊，未有的想像是諾大還是無垠的，其皆來自一切清明。

Discussion

劉冠雯：
在我家附近廟宇跟市場是合併的場所。像是國外教堂是很莊嚴神聖的，但在台灣卻很融入生活。我想以一個人以外的角色敘述。
菜市場是兩個不同的空間，廟宇跟菜市場都是在滿足別人的慾望，但不太一樣。我去場勘看到很多貓，我是想要替換市場的組合，兩者的身分是對比的，
人跟貓的對比呼應到場所的對比。
我想要用空間來講故事，上一部作品我用空間來講述親人不在場，那種內心的空。
