Single parent Mei Chun raises her mentally handicapped son Ray on her own for years. She is used to the challenges as an around-the-clock caregiver for the full-grown son. While her patience may wear thin at times, she remains tender and forms a strong and unique bond with Ray. When a sudden sickness strikes, however, Mei Chun is burdened with a difficult choice out of love for her son. The night falls, but will her dawn arrive? HUI So-Ying stars as the loving mother who faces her dilemma with stoic resilience in this compassionate short directed by HO Yuk-Fai, winner of Best Cinematography at the 13th Fresh Wave International Short Film Festival.

Yuk Fai HO was graduated from the School of Film and Television of Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in Cinematography. His recent works as a cinematographer include My World, which received the Silver Award at the 24th ifva Awards and was nominated for the Best Live Action Short Film at the 55th Golden Horse Awards. The Dropout of Her received the Best Cinematography Award at the 13th Fresh Wave International Short Film Competition. He is currently the executive producer of a RTHK TV Programme Commissioning.
