A few years ago, my grandmother passed away. She suffered from Alzheimer's disease later in her life. I listened to her old memories again and again. After the funeral, the sorrow beneath my family's hearts has been well hidden, but sometimes, the trace can't be erased clearly. How can we store memories? Later, I was visiting the Rodin Museum on a cold winter day, and a sculpture collection caught my eye. The Gate of Life and Memories is an artwork created by Alzheimer's patients with the help of sculptors. They moulded their pain, memories, or relief into the art. It reminded me of the armchair my grandma used to sit on, the pillow she slept on, and more. They are like a treasury storing important things. They evoke memories. I hope to make a film to remember this phase of time, a sad and dreamy journey. And a story of a sculptor and her daughter came up.
