民間傳說裡，殭屍源於湘西「趕屍」術。1985年的《殭屍先生》將其搬上銀幕，並重新塑造了大眾的認知。自此，傳統殭屍成了影像符號。四十多年過去，當經典散盡，這部紀錄片找到了唯一仍舊存活於當代的個體——最後一個殭屍，老李。

畢業於臺灣藝術大學電影學系，擅長混合懸疑類型和偽紀錄片美學。2022年憑短片《神明在看》獲得金穗獎最佳學生劇情片，2024年再以畢業作品《四牲六道》獲金穗獎評審團特別獎。最新短片作品《末代殭屍》於鹿特丹影展首映；現正開發改編其短片《閩江船事件》及《末代殭屍》的電影長片企劃。
YU Chih-chieh, a graduate of the Department of Motion Picture Arts at NTUA, is a Taiwanese filmmaker specializing in thriller, suspense, and mockumentary storytelling. His short film Contained won the Best Student Narrative Award at the 44th Golden Harvest Awards. Having participated in Platform BUSAN and the FIRST Genre Lab, Yu is currently developing his debut feature project, backed by his shorts Isolation(2025) and The Last Jiangshi(2026)—the latter selected for prestigious festivals including IFFR, Fantasia, BIFAN, and Golden Horse Fantastic—as proofs of concept.

這部作品的創作靈感，源自高中時期採訪退伍老兵的深刻經驗。那些曾身處時代洪流的人物，在歷史翻頁後逐漸被社會遺忘；他們口中荒謬、動人卻無人傾聽的生命故事，也隨歲月沉寂。我將這份對「被遺忘者」的感慨，投射到「中國最後一位殭屍」這個象徵上——讓殭屍不再只是恐怖類型中的怪物，而成為一個時代最後的見證者。這不僅是一次類型的重構，更是一場遲來的告別與溫柔的見證。當一段生命即將消逝，鏡頭或許無法改變結局，卻能為那些被歷史邊緣化的人物，留下曾經存在過的證明與尊嚴。 |
In the short film The Last Jiangshi, I continue my fascination with fantasy and folklore, drawing inspiration from classic Chinese hopping-vampire cinema to weave a hybrid narrative of mockumentary, urban legend, and emotional allegory. The story follows a documentary film student who encounters and travels with the "very last Chinese zombie." Through their filmmaking journey, the project explores how moving images can serve as a final testament to a life forgotten by history, prompting poignant reflections on aging, cultural alienation, and the struggle to adapt to an ever-changing society.
