剛柔濟,綿綿情,酸鹹甜。機靈帶點小狡黠。好阿!
My mother had two good friends, but they hadn’t seen each other for a long time. In the summer of 2019, I accompanied her to visit them and during the trip I decided to shoot a documentary with my phone impromptu; however, shooting with such humble equipment, I wasn’t taken seriously. In the process of making this documentary, I recreated my mom’s literary world by incorporating excerpts from her novel to present the same space in different eras. This film is dedicated to all the independent women of the previous generation, including my mom, whose sense of independence is more of a survival instinct – as they had no choice and no support from families and marriages but to make a living in this land that was both materially and spiritually barren.
