Xiao Zhi had originally planned to go abroad for a study tour, but due to Taiwan's economic downturn, he was forced to abandon this dream and stay in his hometown, Shiding. While feeling down about having to spend the long summer helping his elderly grandmother run the family grocery store, an unexpected visitor arrives—a Western girl named Elisa, who teaches English. And so, this summer, Xiao Zhi spends his days under the same roof with two women: his elderly grandmother and the girl from afar, Elisa...

Director

Cheng Yu-Chieh

Born in 1977 in Tainan, Taiwan, he graduated from the Department of Economics at National Taiwan University. In 2000, he completed his first 16mm short film BABYFACE, which won the Special Jury Prize at the Taipei Film Festival. In 2001, he completed the 16mm film Summer, Dream, which won Best Short Film at the 38th Golden Horse Awards, Best Narrative Feature in the Professional Category at the 2002 Taipei Film Festival, and was selected by multiple international film festivals. In 2005, he completed his first feature-length film Do Over.
