On a cold night, January 2009, Sheng-Han and his friends left the Liberty Square, their sites of protest against the state authority during the past two months. It was a movement without achieving any goals. Five years later, the Sunflower Student Movement occupied the Legislative Yuan. For Sheng-Han and his partners, they refused to be stuck in the dead-end situation again.

Chiang Wei-Hua is a Taiwanese independent filmmaker, born in 1976, Banqiao, Taiwan. After receiving the Bachelor of Fine Arts from Tunghai University, Chiang received his master degree in Sound and Image Studies in Documentary at Tainan National University of the Arts. Chiang's documentaries illustrate how the culture and society shape the identities of Taiwanese youth generation. He examines the meaning of existence authentically and soberly through trivial things in life.

運動後,議題不會塵埃落定。參與式的觀點,為台灣黎明前的漆黑做了最詳盡的註腳。

拍攝紀錄片的想法,是把想述說的內容交回給影像,少用文字詮釋。
上一部紀錄片「廣場」,透過所拍攝在2008年野草莓運動而認識片中的人物,這些人的故事與各自狀態,是導演最感興趣的部分,透過彼此之間的良好關係,經過時間的看待,凸顯社會運動民主價值的可貴。
透過每一次會議的討論過程,判斷所要拍攝的內容,由於導演已提早得知行程,也就更清楚拍攝的方向。
因為必須一個人穿梭在會議間跑動,在有限的篇幅得到畫面,透過運動過程的不尋常現象,而詮釋這些人的狀態,「過程」是導演認為最重要的部分;片中前後出現的剃頭髮畫面,是一種成為大人儀式的隱喻。
在我拿起攝影機時,以冷淡卻又貼近的態度,像朋友關係般的拍攝這些人,謝謝他們把生命中最重要的一塊交給了我。而我真正在意的,是運動圈子裡的這些人,焦慮、不信任的這些部份,讓這些運動者或喜歡這些題材的人繼續了解。
運動結束後就沒有繼續拍攝,是因為自己有了運動傷害,還是有保持聯繫,只是拍攝完後就結束在當下狀態了。確實有一些沮喪感,透過老師的建議,這部片子先讓它繼續擺個幾年。
