Taiwan and China are two countries that have long been antagonistic. Xiao-Yu, a Chinese woman who married into a Taiwanese family alone, has to take turns taking care of her mother-in-law with her brother-in-law, A-Lun. He is hostile to Xiao-Yu's national identity. Xiao-Yu struggles to balance work and family, but the Wan-An military preparedness against China has complicated the situation.

In Taiwan’s funerals, soul guiding singing arrays and rituals are believed to be able to guide the souls of the deceased to the Land of Bliss (namely, Heaven). As folk arts evolve with time, they might disappear at some point. This is why Lin Tsung-fan, a red-turbaned Taoist wizard has been trying to find a path that leads to the future of his soul guiding singing troupe.

In 2014, after living in the same house for ten years, suddenly the landlord sold it, and overnight they were evicted, scattering the family members without a place to return, leaving her wondering where home truly lies. In 2019, her younger brother bought a pre-sale house, and she, carrying her camera, joined her brother and father in joy to visit the newly decorated house. However, would this be their home? Through a personal documentary format, starting from the unease of long-term renting, traversing through different forms of homes, pondering on the essence of what home truly is.

《演習》王俊為 導演
 
Growing up in Taipei, Taiwan, Chun Wei Wang graduated from the Department of Motion Picture at NTUA. He now focuses on scriptwriting and film directing, hoping to reflect the conditions of society. For him, filmmaking is never limited, and he believes that each work has the potential to create a different aesthetic style in cinema.

 

《百年之後》張晃維 導演

臺北人，曾擔任新聞攝影記者，國內外節目、紀錄片編導、攝影、企劃、剪輯等職位。喜愛記錄台灣勞動者身影及環境、文化相關議題。著有《小琉球神起》、《家的碎紙片》、《尋找夏娃》等作品。
