Broken landscapes like screen paintings from a long river. "Teetering Graphite" shudders in the crevices between document, surrealism, and ethereality, sketching a life-world that is disintegrating.
By overlapping positive and negative images, the film attempts to create a middle ground between the real and the unreal. If there is a gap in the connection between a person's memory and real life, the stray fragments of life may find a glimmer of hope in that middle ground. Filmed along the Santa Clarita riverbed, disconnected language and dissonant landscapes gradually highlight a person's presence and disappearance. We watch images fade and memories degrade. The river of the universe comes from the vast void and returns to the vast void.

Mr. Ho, who lives alone in Tainan, has been working as a factory delivery driver for thirty years. He is facing unemployment as the factory will shut down soon and undergo a restructuring. As Mr. Ho is getting old, his son who lives in Taipei demands him to scrap his old truck, however, he insists on keeping it despite facing potential pollution fines and maintenance costs.

Minwei and his friend Aaron are engaged in part-time work in the pesticide spraying business, but Minwei's health is deteriorating due to long-term exposure to pesticides. Aaron advises Minwei to find another job, which leads to an argument between them.

I grew up in a small family-owned plastic factory in Tainan, specializing in directing and scriptwriting. I prefer using images to express intimate feelings that are difficult to put into words, which is the reason why I keep on creating.
Wood child Li, Wen of Taichung’s coast line, Ru who can’t think of an introduction, nickname is Blue Chip of Dragon Year.
