Set against the backdrop of the 1967 anti-British riot, this film looks to both the past and the future of Hong Kong. Story first follows four youngsters who are caught up in the large-scale riot between the pro-communist left wingers and the British colonial government. Fast forward 50 years, the second part takes place along the frontier border town Sha Tau Kok. It is here three Hong Kong freedom fighters cross paths with an old man from the 1967 riot.
